Purpose
The purpose of the NOVA Old Boys side will be to:
- Establish a venue for former NOVA players and new 35+ players to continue playing
the game at a competitive level.
- Provide funding to
the NOVA U19 and Mens programs through new sponsorship opportunities,
expanded fund-raising activities, and tax-deductible membership donations.
- Provide new opportunties for sponsors, friends, and family to gather
around club-oriented activities (e.g. post-match dinners, wine tastings, family-friendly activities,
etc.)
Goals
As a member of the NOVA Old Boys side, former NOVA players and new 35+ players are
guaranteed an opportunity to play:
- A minimum of 3 matches per season.
- At least 6 matches per year (Spring & Fall)
Funding
The primary source of financial support will be provided by sponsors
attracted to the club through relationships with current NOVA Old Boys.
Players are expected to be the secondary source of financial support for the club.
- Cost to join the Old Boys will be $250/year. This fee is tax deductible as
NOVA is a 501(c)(3) organization.
- Cost to join includes an official NOVA Old Boys jersey and free admission to
all sanctioned NOVA Old Boys events.
- Additional funding goals will be to attract sponsors to post-game events, wine tastings,
golf outings, and a variety of other events.
- Old Boys sponsors will be automatically entered into the NOVA U19 and Battlefield
7s tournament programs.
- Funding documents will be provided on an annual basis as a way for the club to remain
accountable to each and every player/member.
